Montana Poker - Texas Holdem Freezeout

Ever heard of a freezeout in Texas holdem poker? A Texas Holdem Freezeout simply describes a situation wherein not a single player is in a position to win the game because all the players in the table are either playing loosely or tightly. In these kinds of situations, the house is the only one earning money.

A Texas Holdem Freezeout often happens when all the players in the table are playing tightly. In this case, everyone is on the lookout for their chips that only a few rounds get the point of reaching the river. When this happens, you might want to consider going against all the players in a slightly loose manner, so you can force them to make bets even if they otherwise would not have chosen to.

A freezeout can also happen when all the players on the table play loosely that the only cycle that happens is that players only pass the pot from one another. In this case, you might want to play tightly and aggressively, so you can surprise them with winning the pot when they thought that the money would only be passed from one position on the table to another.

In any situation, you would not want to be caught in a freezeout because this will simply put you in a long game where nothing really happens. This kind of situation can easily bore players as almost everyone on the table is on a tiptoe to know who will eventually break the cycle.

If this happens, you would want to be that player who breaks the Texas Holdem Freezeout. In this way, you can add more chips into your bankroll and help in reducing stalls in the game - just because everybody else is playing tightly or loosely. So remember, keep an eye on how your opponents play.
